Developed the HBMeU Academic Strategic Plan for 2011-15.
Established and set up the Center for Learning Innovations and Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) as a pioneering center supporting the development and advancement of higher education in the MENA region (2012-13)
Developed the HBMeU Academic Governance Charter for 2011-12and 2012-13
Organized and managed to host the 2012 ICDE Standing Conference of Presidents which took place in November, 2012 in Dubai.
Led the development, establishment and accreditation of the HBMeU first PhD program with concentrations in: TQM, Education Leadership and Healthcare Administration (2011-12).
Chaired the HBMeU Annual Congress for 2011 and 12. An international referee congress attracting international speakers, presenters, research and delegates from over 64 countries.
Established the first Consortium for teaching and learning centers (ICTLC) in 2011 comprising 11 universities from 10 different countries among which are: The Open University, UK; the Malaysia Open University, Montreal University and the American University of Cairo. The consortium is establish in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning in member institutions by creating a collaborative platform for developing knowledge, sharing resources and case studies, providing leadership and encouraging community building.
Developed and launched the first e-Learning Regional Awards (HBMeU e-Learning Excellence Award) in 2010 recognizing outstanding achievements in the field of e-learning made by both organizations and/or individuals in the Arab World. The award categories cover: Best Research work, best design and development of online courses and individual outstanding achievement in e-learning.
Founded and acted as the first elected President of the Middle East e-Learning Association. A regional society launched in early 2010 and dedicated to growing the understanding, practice and knowledge transfer of e-learning in the region.
Led in collaboration with the Swiss Center for Innovation and Learning at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, the development of the Middle East e-Learning Quality (MeLQ) in 2009-10.
Founder and former chair (2008 and 2009) of the e-Learning Excellence in the Middle East Conference which is running in its 6th year.
Led the university Licensure in 2008 through which the college (e-TQM College) was granted its university status (Hamdan Bin Mohamed e-University) in 2009.
Founder and Editor of the International Journal of Excellence in e-Learning (established in 2008).
Established the first e-Education school in the region focusing on offering academic degrees in online education by offering three master level programs covering the areas of educational technologies, instructional design and online education leadership and management (2007-2008).
Led the development of the university’s first virtual learning environment (2006-2008) and established the university’s digitization center in India.
Founder and Editor of the International Journal of Excellence in e-Solutions for Management (established in 2007).
Established the Deanship of Learners and Academic Affairs (2005-2007) and the portfolio of services under the deanship including the set-up of the university e-Library, the Electronic Career Advising and Placement Services, the Learners’ Relationship Management Office, etc.
Led the e-TQM College Licensure in 2005 which resulted in the recognition of the first online higher education institution in the United Arab Emirates by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Participated in the development of the 12 Steps Methodology Framework for eLearning accreditation which was presented to the UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2004.
