CLICKS’S CEO SPEAKS IN QATAR AT THE IREG FORUM 2017

CLICKS’s Founder and CEO, Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou speaks at the international conference IREG Forum 2017 Excellence as the University Driving Force which took place at Qatar University In Doha, Qatar from the 12th to 14th of March, 2017.

During her intervention titled “Redefining Excellence for Higher Education in the Arab Region: Strategies and Lessons Learned” which was part of the plenary session on Excellence as “a framework” for teaching and organization of studies in the context of the needs of a country or a region; Dr Hadj-Hamou addressed the definition of excellence in higher education and presented various exsistig models to evaluate excellence including the Excellence in Higher Education Model developed by the Center for Learning Innovations and Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) that serves as a framework for HEIs to embrace excellence. Dr Narimane also shared progress and initiatives in support of promoting excellence in higher education taking place at the regional level and concluded her presentation with a set of recommendations that HEIs may want to consider.

The Forum was attended by over 120 representatives of universities from 35 countries and experts on academic rankings and higher education.

Opening addresses involved Jan Sadlak, President of IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence and Hassan Rashid Al-Derham, President of Qatar University. In addition to other Key note speeches delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim, Economic Advisor for H.H. the Emir of Qatar and Francisco Marmolejo, expert in Tertiary Education at the World Bank.
